Building clinical science teams for a prominent oncology biotech
Arcus partnered with us during a period of rapid organisational growth, expanding from approximately 200 to more than 650 employees. As their oncology pipeline progressed, the company needed to significantly strengthen its clinical development infrastructure, particularly across clinical science, medical leadership, and regulatory functions.
Arcus partnered with us when they were roughly 200 employees in size. They now have approximately 670 people on board.
The Challenge
Arcus partnered with us when they were roughly 200 employees in size. They now have approximately 670 people on board.
Although we supported them across several verticals, the most critical need was expanding their clinical science and clinical development functions. This included building clinical science teams, hiring medical directors, and supporting a regulatory scale-up to advance their oncology pipeline.

The Approach
We focused on the highest-impact areas by:
- Prioritizing clinical science, clinical development, medical director, and regulatory hiring
- Delivering talent across multiple seniority levels
- Working closely with their hiring leaders to adapt to evolving role structures and growth needs
As a solution, we delivered a coordinated build-out across key clinical functions, including:
- 8 clinical scientists
- 3 medical directors
- A regulatory build-out across manager to senior director levels
- Broader support across additional verticals as needed
